About Us:
Kenowa Ambucs meet every First and Third Tuesday of each month at Sunnybrook Country Club, 624 Port Sheldon Road, Jenison, Michigan, to meet, eat, and share fellowship with friends and business associates. Typically, unless we are working on a project to raise funds or accomplish good in the community, we have a presentation by an interesting speaker or other entertaining program by community leaders, sports personalities, world travelers, business leaders, and a wide range of other interesting people.
Our Social Committee plans a variety of social gatherings, usually to include our spouses, throughout the year. Often, these are seasonal parties and range from the formal to the informal. These events give every AMBUC and spouse an opportunity to come to know and appreciate our larger AMBUC family.
The commitment to AMBUCS includes hours spent helping individuals and our larger community. We deliver and set up hospital equipment on loan from our club's large inventory, and build wheel chair ramps and assist families with handicapped persons. We give away Amtrykes ® and provide other valuable assistance to those who need it most. This is the most rewarding and satisfying aspect of belonging to this organization.
AMBUCS have fun while serving the community. Many of our projects directly benefit worthy recipients right her in our own community - local business and professional leaders pitching in "Shoulders Together" to make it happen.
Delivering the Goods.
One of our favorite and most rewarding activities is donating an AmTryke to a worthy recipient. This child received a specially designed tricycle at his school, where he and other children similarly situated can enjoy its man benefits, which include improving his physical and mental fitness, as well as having fun playing with other children.
